Stone Thrower or Foot washer?

"Therefore, there is now no condemnation for those who are in Christ Jesus, who live and walk not after the dictates of the flesh, but after the dictates of the Spirit." (Romans 8v1.)

We had a footwashing session at our ladies gathering on Thursday. The above scripture arose in my spirit to minister to the ladies. As we washed each lady's feet, we washed off everything and everyone who condemns them....the passed, mistakes and failures.... It was amazing for me to realise how we are taken captive by those "voices" how we can not reach beyond the guilt, shame or hurts of the passed...

Why not? ....fear of the stone throwers?

They brought the lady caught in the act of adultery to Jesus, his answer to them was "he who is without sin among you, let him throw a stone at her first." Everyone had to drop their stones....then Jesus sent the woman away saying "Neither do I condemn you; go and sin no more" (John 8v3-11)

Often we catch someone, a stranger or even a loved one in the "act of sin" and we feel justified to throw that stone, but I hope you are inspired to drop your stones, and rather fall on your knees to wash the condemnation off that person's feet... like Jesus washed his disciples' feet....yours and mine.

Our Scriptures for this week are:
Jeremiah 31 verse 31-34
Psalm 51 v 1-12 or Psalm 119 v 9-16
Hebrews 5 v 5-10
John 12 v 20-33

Crafting a Prayer

Being Still opens a channel of communication between us and heaven... We all have "head noise" and it takes discipline to quiet that voice...but we must do it...otherwise, when we panic we rush too quick into prayer, and if we have not stilled ourselves we pray in our own strength.

To "Craft" a prayer, you must enter God's pressence with thanksgiving & worship, then you center yourself and rest in the secret place. After quieting yourself and resting, you meditate on His Scriptures & words for you.
When you seek His face about a certain circumstance or person, always ask the Lord this question: "What is it that You want to do in these circumstances? Then listen & wait until the Lord answers and directs you how to pray.

Remember: The Holy Spirit helps us to pray in our weakness. (Romans 8 verse 26-28)

Our Contemplation & Scriptures for this week is:
Numbers 21v4-9
Psalm 107 v 1-3 and 17-22
Ephesians 2 v 1-10
John 3 v 14-21

The Bridge of Prayer

Prayer is the bridge between my unconscious and conscious self.
Prayer connects my mind with my heart, my will with my passion, my brain with my belly.
Prayer is the way to let the life-giving Spirit of God penetrate all the corners of my being.
Prayer is the divine instrument of wholeness, unity and inner peace.

 -Henri Nouwen.

This month I will endeavour to change myself and my world through prayer.
